　　 While the wheel of history rolled to the 21st century，we are facing a new challenge

--- to rejuvenate our country .

　　Though she used to be very rich and powerful, she became poorer and poorer, weaker and

weaker after many wars and unrest. What a sad history it is. But now , we have new

opportunities . One of which is that we have attended the WTO. As we all know, judging a

country's power mostly depends on it's economy. So it is important to every country,

including China. It's a great chance to develop our economy. For example, government has

decided to develop central and western China. As a student, all we can do is working

harder to make her richer and richer .

　　The other one is that we will hold the 2008 Olympic Games . It is also a wonderful

chance to make our country knew to all over the world. But how to reveal ourselves is

still a question. This glorious historic task has fallen upon the shoulders of the youth

of the 21st century.

　　Of course, we are proud to have this honour of being lucky young generation to accept

this task. Facing this mighty mission, we have no choice but to study more harder to

achieve this aim.With wisdom, science and knowledge aimed , we will show a great China to

the whole world . The 21st century is a new era of reform and openness, it brings us

opportunities and challenges.

　　We must be stronger and stronger to handle all the difficulties that may come to .

We must have the daring and determination to translate all of dreams into reality.

Last but not least, we must well master knowledge.

　　Being the youth of new century, we should willing sacrifice our personal interests for

our mother land to make her more and more beautiful, more and more powerful .
